To our patients,
I have always treated our patients as family. However, I have had to make the very difficult decision to drop our in-network status with one of the Delta Dental Programs. As of January 17, 2023, I will no longer be in-network with Delta Dental PPO. In 2020, Delta Dental experienced record profits because they received policy payments, yet their policy holders could not seek services. My practice, like all other dental practices, was closed for many weeks as the pandemic was brought under control. Most insurance companies have long kept their fees in check with inflation. There is one glaring exception: Delta Dental. Delta Dental has not raised their fees for over twenty years. Post-pandemic we saw our costs skyrocket.

Upon notifying Delta Dental that I was resigning from their network, I understand that they have sent (or will send) a letter to policy holders. This letter is very confusing and has left some patients thinking they needed to find another dentist. This is not true. You are still able to visit my office for your dental care; you can use your benefits in my office, and I will continue to help you receive your insurance policy benefits. What does this mean for our Delta patients? There are three Delta Dental programs. These are Delta Dental Premier, Delta Dental Premier/PPO, and Delta Dental PPO. Most of my Delta Dental patients have Delta Dental Premier or Delta Dental Premier/PPO. Those patients will not notice any changes.

Patients who have Delta Dental PPO will see a change. I will continue to bill Delta Dental on your behalf, however, you will receive the insurance check from Delta. You can absolutely still come to my office for your dental care and you can still use the benefits that your dental insurance policy provides in my office. If you have questions about which Delta Dental plan you have or how this will specifically affect you, please call my office and my staff would be happy to help you.
